Patricia Ann Hendrickson was selected as a student extern to Presiding Justice David G. Sills at the Fourth District Court of Appeal, invaluable hands-on experience in the operation of the appellate process, particularly as it applies to public policy decisions. She then graduated Western State College of Law as Salutatorian of her class in fall 1996, and had the honor of being sworn in as an attorney by Justice Sills at the Court of Appeal.
Shortly thereafter, she began her law practice as a solo practitioner in Huntington Beach, California, concentrating on both estate planning and family law matters. Her practice grew over the years and during that time, she earned several distinctions, including being designated a Super Lawyer by her peers several years running.
At one time, she employed ten people, including three attorneys and the necessary support staff. She and her husband, Paul, worked together in the practice for about 22 years. She retired from full-time practice in 2019, and since that time decided to mostly limit her practice to estate planning, her first love. Her primary residence is now in Dallas, Texas, but as needs dictate, she returns to Huntington Beach, California.
